Marilyn Baron - Angel Pendant

I am writing to share my personal story.  In March, I participated in Barbara Vey’s week long 5^th Anniversary Bash in celebration of her Publishers Weekly blog, Beyond Her Book, for readers and authors. More than 28,500 people commented that week!

As an author, I donated a free PDF download of my three humorous, supernatural angel stories—A Choir of Angels, Follow an Angel, and The Stand-In Bridegroom, available from TWB Press at  http://www.twbpress.com/achoirofangels.html. I also donated a large Silver Angel Pendant from The Angel Pendant Collection by Stan W. Tait.

When I ordered the pendant for the winner, I talked Stan, who was very wonderful to deal with. I also decided to order a Birthstone Angel Pendant, in my case, an emerald birthstone for my May birthday. I ordered it and will wear it in memory of my younger brother, Paul, who passed away from a rare form of cancer on February 14 recently.

The Angel Pendants are promoted as an enduring gift and treasured symbol of protection, care and spiritual strength. Well, the protective quality kicked in the day I bought it. After I talked with Stan, I went to lunch with a friend. On the way home, I blacked out, hit a fire hydrant and totaled my car. But I considered myself lucky. I could have gone over an embankment, into oncoming traffic or hit a pedestrian. I suffered only air-bag burns. When I recounted my accident, both my sister and sister-in-law independently said, “Your angels were protecting you.” I certainly believe that.

When I got my Birthstone Angel Pendant in the mail I was thrilled. It is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. I immediately put it on and know I will get years of enjoyment from it. It will signal happy memories of my brother.  Thanks Stan. Marilyn Baron, USA

Which leads me to the first part of my story!

When I received a message from Stan asking if I would like to be to carry a very special line of Sterling Silver Angel Pendants in our boutique in Atlantic Canada, I was thrilled with the idea. I truly believe that everyone has a special Angel looking over them. I have often prayed to mine, “Angel of God, My Guardian Dear, To Whom God’s Love Commits me here. Ever this Day, be at my side, to Light and Guard, to Rule and Guide.” I have been reciting that pray for many years. I knew right away, representing The Angel Pendant was something I could do.  Stan called me the “The Angel Lady”. I knew that the reason for this special privilege would be realized eventually.

So here I was promoting this amazing Angel Pendant set in fine .925 sterling silver. I was sharing with everyone on our Facebook Page just how gorgeous they are and how comforting it would be to receive an Angel Pendant as a gift! The Angels are starting to catch on and find special places to spread the love!

Which leads me to the second part of my story.

As I pondered, how can we as friends help a mom and dad through this process? What
can we say to offer comfort? They are watching their child slowly die in front of their eyes. I can only begin to imagine the anger, disbelief, confusion and frustration they must be feeling. I couldn’t find the right words.

As Christmas approached I wanted to offer a special gift. That’s when I thought again of The Angel Pendants. When I took another look at the packaging the Pendant is given in, that is when I realized… THIS IS THE PERFECT GIFT!

Now I understand why our boutique was asked to represent this amazing Angel!

I was pregnant with my second child and was on pins and needles about his health as
my first son had an inter stroke and has severe special needs. From cerebral palsy to epilepsy to visually impairment to global developmental delays….she calmed me during those long nine months of awaiting for my second child and we celebrated long distances when he was born. I have seen her twice in the past year, and she is unconditionally there for me.  Neda always suggests alternative therapies for my son…I would like her to have an Angel Pendant too as now is my turn to be there for her. I love her so much. She really is my sister from another mother. I have not taken the Angel Pendant since I got it and when times are tough, I just rub it and I know she is either thing of me or praying for me….please let her receive a pendant too as this will have so much symbolism and significance especially this time of the year for her….I love you guys and am proud
that you are Canadians….keep up the good work…

I also am going to bring your foundation up at our next meeting in January with Rare Disease Foundation, founded by parents like myself who have kids with rare and undiagnosed diseases, it is part of the genetics department here in Vancouvers Children’s Hospital….please check out the website….I think lots of parents will benefit, also hoping to go one step forward and introduce you to Canuck Place here, where kids go for Pallative care….I love u guys…I can not rave about you enough….”

Another time was when I had to endure sickness in my family and the loss of a friend. Even in present danger, God will always send his Angels. In life we all go through tough times and I’m sure we can all look back and wonder how we made it through. We can then smile and realize that we were being covered and protected by a Guardian Angel to bring us through to have a story to tell.

Sometimes, it so that we can become an Angel to someone else by showing them the love and compassion that God has shown us. I thank God for all of the Angels he has sent to me in my life who have guarded me and shown their love so that I’m able to extend the same to someone else.
